Out On A Limb
What have we been up to? Oh my, so many things! First off, let’s give a great big shout out to Josh Healing of Standard Air for coming out and taking a look at our swamp cooler unit – Josh inspected and then repaired the leaks in the lines which got those operating in the heat of the summer. We are all very grateful for that.
Currently, we are working with the City and an architect to bring an entrance to be ADA compliant as well as the downstairs bathroom. We are all so very excited to get the ball rolling so that we can start putting the calendar out for booking our gracious facility.
A big, “Thank you!!” and shout out to the Sugar Plump Fairies for their grant to designate a children’s gallery area in the Carnegie. What a wonderful idea for our building. Truly, this labor of love is for the whole community – we hope that you will follow what’s happening at the Branches and get involved.
We have a lot of groups to thank, so here goes:
Placer Arts – a generous donation for office setup
Pacific Parks – a backyard garden refurbishment project (which will make it perfect for small intimate events)
Liz Honeycutt – her beautiful watercolor rendition of our Carnegie that graces our postcards
Josh Healing at Standard Air – for helping us have a cool, literally, place to meet
Our wonderful donors – thank you to all who have donated! We appreciate your donation so much!
Want to get involved? We are going to need some help in the garden for planting newly donated plants; folks who love to paint are needed to paint the interior of our lovely building; and we can always use a general handyperson for miscellaneous things that come up. Your expertise and time are priceless and we very much appreciate any help you are willing to give.
Thank you!
